For my fellow Discordians, you already know the story. But for those who haven't heard, The Apple of Discord was a golden apple thrown at a wedding that was labeled "To the fairest" by the Greek Goddess of Discord, Eris. (Roman goddess: Discordia)
When the apple was thrown it stuck an argument between Aphrodite, Athena and Hera, over who was truly the fairest. It is known that this event called for Paris to announce that Aphrodite was in fact the fairest which started the Trojan War of Troy, thanks to jealous ass Hera, who subjected her to marry the ugliest husband because of her beauty, for she was afraid Zeus (the player that he is) would marry her instead, kicking Hera off of the throne. Aphrodite was said to have been born a grown woman, because it was unfathomable to imagine such a beauty as a child. Now my favorite had always been Athena, she was smart, strategic, beautiful and strong, but after reading up on a Goddess such as Eris, my fellow Discordians would die... Or something to that nature. Maybe a little less severe...
So in the three verses, the order of whom we are talking about is, Athena, Aphrodite, and then Hera, and of course the chorus leaves Eris
Now, it is also know that she represents the organized chaos of unorganized chaos of organized chaos, etc... where basically, the world runs of this orderly disorder and this song sends praise to what we can't understand of it.
lyrics
A royal wedding did take place last night
The feast of Gods, a gift of joyous light
There were three maiden who did dispute their right
They were the fairest three in all of their minds
For one had been a real eyesore
A shrewd companion to the art of war
Her mind was just, her wisdom right
And yet she was no match for the Gold insight
"To the fairest", from the core
A battle sparked the Trojan War
The fruits of vanity will stain
The Greek unrest that is your name
When you fall, we'll all come down,
There's no entitled to your crown
If nothing's right, then what went wrong?
Your gift of Discord's what we long
In the name of love, a pleasured toll
Was a fate bestowed from no childhood
And for a beauty so desirable
No form of ugly spouse would take the thrown
And on that day of marriage meant
A fight would start, but not for her hand
And from the brawl would come the time of war
To be the fairest for the apple of discord
"To the fairest", from the core
A battle sparked the Trojan War
The fruits of vanity will stain
The Greek unrest that is your name
When you fall, we'll all come down,
There's no entitled to your crown
If nothing's right, then what went wrong?
Your gift of Discord's what we long
A majestic ruler sat the throne
And to wear the crown of the great Polos
As a wife of such she was a kind of hate
You wouldn't think to wed was a joyous thing
But one mere mortal rattled her law
Feeling double crossed, she was the fairest of none
Such a jealous nature could not pursue
The golden right of Discordia
"To the fairest", from the core
A battle sparked the Trojan War
The fruits of vanity will stain
The Greek unrest that is your name
When you fall, we'll all come down,
There's no entitled to your crown
If nothing's right, then what went wrong?
Your gift of Discord's what we long

Wild West themes, power surf and punk rock cooked up into one turbulent jam that’ll spin you through scorching deserts,
relentless waves, secular terrains and outer space dynasties.
Female fronted and formed in 2014 (LA based, now residents of Asheville, NC) the trio will knock you down and pick you up again with an eclectic range of instrumental scores, haunting ballads and frenetic riffs....more
Everything WJLP touches turns to gold. Not one lyric, guitar riff nor organ shred has fell under par of the brilliance you'd expect and his voice is comparable to seven angels singing at once. Harriers Of Discord

God I love this album, unlike the others this music feels a bit more free.like there was less forced polishing, less overthinking put into it,just pure music. Everytime I listen to this album I get goosebumps.the sounds are just glorious, it’s as if the sounds are moving between the folds of my brain like a stick floating, following the path of a river. sethalogical
